Pushkar India

Pushkar translates to "born from a flower". According to Hindu mythology, God sent a swan carrying a lotus flower in its beak, and the flower was dropped on the spot where Brahma was to carry out his significant task. The location where the flower landed was named Pushkar. Besides this tale, there are numerous other stories about the town's origin. Pushkar is situated approximately 14 kilometers from Ajmer and around 135 kilometers from Jaipur. It is one of the most significant pilgrimage sites for Hindus in India. Despite having a small population, the town is constantly filled with pilgrims.
